About the 2015 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS
The 991.2 Carrera GTS represented Porsche's sweet spot philosophy executed to perfection, more power than the S, more comfort than the GT3. Its 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six delivered 450 horsepower with massive torque gains over its naturally aspirated predecessor, while the seven-speed manual kept purists happy. The GTS package added meaningful performance upgrades: PASM Sport suspension, Sport Chrono, and distinctive center-lock wheels that telegraphed serious intent. This generation proved that turbocharging could enhance rather than diminish the 911 experience, offering broader powerband and improved efficiency without sacrificing character. As the final manual-transmission GTS before the 992's switch to PDK-only, these cars have gained collector significance. The combination of usable performance, everyday drivability, and manual transmission makes it increasingly sought-after.
