The 997.2 Carrera GTS represents Porsche's sweet spot between the standard Carrera S and the hardcore GT3. Introduced for the 2011 model year as the 997's swan song, the GTS packed a 408-hp version of the 3.8-liter flat-six, splitting the difference perfectly between everyday usability and track capability. Porsche Sport Suspension came standard, dropping the car 10mm lower, while the Sport Chrono package and limited-slip differential made it a proper driver's weapon. With only two model years of production before the 991 generation arrived, the 997 GTS has become increasingly sought-after among collectors who appreciate its analog purity and naturally aspirated engine.
