Common questions

How much does a Mercedes-Benz G-Class cost?

Across every sale we have on file, 8 have sold publicly at a median of $30,725. The Shifty Estimate for a well-kept example is $42,400. Cars have changed hands anywhere from $31,800 to $53,000, depending on mileage, color, and history.

What is a 1990 Mercedes-Benz G-Class worth today?

The Shifty Estimate is $42,400. That sits above the $30,725 median of actual sales because the median counts every car that sold, including high-mileage examples, while the estimate describes a clean, low-mileage one bought today. We rate confidence low: 8 public sales in a year is not enough to be firm, and the honest range is wide. Treat it as a starting point, not a valuation.

About the 1990 Mercedes-Benz G-Class

The W463 is the long running civilian G-Class, built from 1990 to 2018. It is assembled in Graz, Austria, and Bruno Sacco is the named designer. The Base entry covers the whole generation. Engines ranged from small diesels to V8 and V12 AMG models. The body kept its boxy shape while the interior became more luxurious. Collectors decide first by engine and badge, then by body style, then by condition. Check for rust, electrical faults and the history of any modification. Special editions and final production runs attract the most attention. A documented history matters more than low mileage alone.
