About the 1990 Mercedes-Benz G-Class Cabriolet

The W463 Cabriolet is the soft top, short wheelbase version of the long running civilian G. It was built in Graz, Austria. Engines changed over the years, so no single engine applies. Bruno Sacco is the named designer for the W463 generation. Special cabriolet editions include a limited run of 200 for the Final Edition. Collectors check the top frame, fabric, seals and rust around the windshield base. Soft top G cars have less rigid bodies, so door fit and frame condition matter. Original top material and correct trim are hard to find. Verify the engine and chassis plate against the paperwork.
