About the 1995 Chevrolet Blazer

The second-generation Chevrolet Blazer represents the final chapter of a true body-on-frame SUV before everything went unibody. Built from 1995-2005, this Blazer rode on the GMT330 platform shared with the GMC Jimmy, offering genuine truck-based capability that's increasingly rare today. The 4.3-liter Vortec V6 delivered 190 horsepower, while available ZR2 packages added Bilstein shocks, skid plates, and aggressive styling that created a cult following. Unlike today's crossovers, these Blazers could genuinely tackle serious off-road terrain while towing 5,500 pounds. Collectors are starting to appreciate clean examples, particularly ZR2 models and final-year 2005s. The Xtreme appearance package with its lowered stance and body kit offers street-focused appeal.
