About the 1949 MG TD

The MG TD bridged the gap between prewar tradition and postwar modernity, combining classic MG styling with independent front suspension and left-hand drive availability that opened crucial export markets. Built on the TC's chassis but with modern conveniences like rack-and-pinion steering, the TD became MG's first truly international success.
