About the 1999 Mercedes-Benz G-Class G55
The G 55 AMG is the W463 G Class with a naturally aspirated 5.4 liter AMG V8. It is not the later supercharged Kompressor. Spec databases list 354 PS, or 349 horsepower, and 525 Nm of torque, about 387 pound feet. It has an automatic gearbox and permanent all wheel drive. Listed performance is 7.4 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and 210 km/h flat out. Mercedes built it from 1999 to 2004. When buying, check that the VIN and the build sheet show a factory G 55 AMG. A G 500 with badges and wheels is a look alike. Ask for the AMG documents and service history.
