About the 2018 BMW M5

The F90 M5 marks BMW's boldest departure from M5 tradition, ditching the naturally aspirated V8 for a twin-turbo 4.4-liter S63 producing 600 horsepower. More controversially, it abandons rear-wheel drive for M xDrive all-wheel drive, though purists can still select RWD mode. The result is devastating performance: 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and a 190 mph top speed. Despite weighing over 4,300 pounds, the F90 handles with surprising agility thanks to adaptive dampers and active anti-roll bars. The Competition variant ups power to 617 hp and sharpens the dynamics further.
