The Exige S introduced forced induction to the lightweight Lotus formula, and the results were revelatory. By supercharging the Toyota 2ZZ-GE engine, Lotus extracted 218 horsepower while maintaining the car's featherweight character. The additional torque transformed the driving experience, providing more accessible performance without sacrificing the razor-sharp handling that made the Exige legendary. Russell Carr's subtle design updates included functional aerodynamic elements and improved cooling.
