About the 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II

The R34 V-Spec II refined the already exceptional V-Spec formula with enhanced aerodynamics and improved cooling systems. Available from 1999-2002, it featured the most advanced iteration of Nissan's ATTESA E-TS Pro AWD and Super-HICAS systems. The RB26DETT remained officially rated at 276hp, though actual output approached 320hp. Carbon fiber rear spoiler, revised front splitter, and additional oil coolers distinguished it from standard models. The V-Spec II represented the sweet spot of R34 ownership, more exclusive than the base GT-R but more accessible than ultra-rare variants like the Nur. With the R34's growing legend fueled by Fast & Furious fame and 25-year import eligibility, V-Spec II models command significant premiums as the definitive R34 experience.
