About the 2008 Cadillac CTS

The second-generation CTS marked Cadillac's boldest step toward European sport sedan territory, trading baroque American luxury for sharp-edged athleticism. Built on GM's Sigma platform, the '08-'13 CTS delivered genuine BMW 3-Series competition with its available 3.6L V6 producing 304 horsepower and optional all-wheel drive. The Art & Science design language reached maturity here, with crisp lines that still look contemporary today. While the base model offers solid dynamics, collectors gravitate toward the CTS-V with its supercharged LSA V8, but clean examples of the regular CTS are becoming increasingly appreciated. The manual transmission option adds desirability, as does the Sport package with its Magnetic Ride Control. As Cadillac's last rear-drive sedan before downsizing, these represent the end of an era, making well-maintained examples with desirable options increasingly collectible as modern classics.
