About the 2003 Ferrari 575 GTC
The 575 GTC was Ferrari's factory-sanctioned return to front-engine V12 GT racing, built not in-house but by N.Technology, the Fiat Group's longtime competition partner, around the 575M Maranello's chassis with an enlarged 5,997cc V12. N.Technology built twelve examples for the FIA GT Championship beginning in 2003, running through the Italian GT Championship and international rounds in Dubai and Bahrain. Unlike the road-going 575M, these are pure competition cars, stripped of luxury fittings and built to FIA GT specification, a racing pedigree that separates them entirely from the road car's market. RM Sotheby's sold chassis F133MGT2224 for $2,648,750 in 2021, more than fifteen times the median 575M Maranello sale, reflecting both the twelve-car rarity and genuine competition history.
