About the 1993 Toyota Supra
The fourth-generation Supra represents Toyota's pinnacle achievement in sports car engineering, particularly the twin-turbo variant with its legendary 2JZ-GTE inline-six. This iron-block masterpiece delivered 320 hp from the factory but proved capable of handling enormous power increases with minimal modification. The Supra's sophisticated sequential twin-turbo system and bulletproof drivetrain made it a tuner favorite, while its advanced electronics and refined chassis delivered supercar-level performance. Production ended in 2002 after just 11,239 examples reached US shores, with the final model year seeing only 1,500 units. Clean, unmodified examples have become increasingly scarce as most fell victim to modification fever. Today's collectors prize original Turbos above all, especially Anniversary Editions and rare colors like Quicksilver.
