About the 2012 Morgan Plus 8

The final evolution of Morgan's legendary Plus 8 bloodline, this 2012-2018 generation marked the end of an era with BMW's naturally aspirated 4.8-liter V8 producing 367 horsepower. Built on Morgan's traditional ash wood frame with modern aluminum bodywork, it delivered genuine 155mph performance while maintaining the marque's quintessentially British character. Only around 1,200 examples were produced across the six-year run, making it significantly rarer than its predecessors. The combination of hand-crafted construction, modern reliability, and that glorious BMW V8 soundtrack created what many consider the ultimate expression of Morgan's sports car philosophy. With production ending in 2018 to make way for the new aluminum platform, these represent the last of the 'proper' Morgans. Values have remained strong among collectors who appreciate the blend of traditional coachbuilding and contemporary performance, particularly well-maintained examples with desirable options.
