What is a 1955 Austin-Healey 100 100S worth today?

The Shifty Estimate is $379,000. That sits below the $489,000 median of actual sales because the estimate weights the most recent results most heavily, and recent sales have come in under the longer-run median. About the 1955 Austin-Healey 100 100S

The 100S represents the ultimate expression of the original Healey 100, with just 55 examples built specifically for competition. Hand-assembled at Warwick, each 100S featured extensive aluminum bodywork, a modified chassis, and a highly-tuned 2.7-liter engine producing 132 horsepower. The distinctive cut-down windscreen, side exhaust pipes, and competition-spec interior marked it as a pure racing machine. Factory records show most were delivered to privateer racers, making survivors with documented competition history especially prized. The 100S dominated its class at Le Mans and other international circuits, establishing Austin-Healey's racing credentials. With production limited to less than 60 cars, the 100S ranks among the rarest British sports cars ever built. Today, these ultra-rare competition Healeys represent the pinnacle of the marque's collectibility, with pristine examples commanding astronomical prices at auction.
