The Triumph TR TR6 was built from 1969 to 1976.
The TR6 Base, the most traded version: Karmann's subtle restyle gave the TR6 its definitive look, with chopped tail and aggressive front end creating the most masculine TR silhouette. The 2.5-liter six delivered 150 horsepower in UK trim, though US emissions strangled output to 104 hp by the mid-'70s. What the TR6 lacked in outright performance compared to the fuel-injected TR5, it made up for in reliability and character—that straight-six's torquey delivery and distinctive exhaust note became the soundtrack of British motoring. With 91,850 built over seven years, it's the most successful TR, yet early carbureted UK cars and final-year examples command premiums. The TR6 perfectly captures the twilight of the British sports car era, offering classic roadster thrills with enough refinement for daily driving. Values have steadily climbed as collectors recognize it as the last true TR.
