The GT6, the most traded version: The GT6 was Triumph's ambitious attempt to create a 'poor man's E-Type' by grafting a 2.0-liter inline-six into the Spitfire's chassis. Built from 1966-1973 in Coventry, this fastback coupe delivered 104 hp and genuine sports car performance with its 10.1-second 0-60 time. The result was a beautifully proportioned grand tourer that offered more refinement than the open Spitfire while maintaining British sports car character. With 40,926 units produced, the GT6 strikes a sweet spot for collectors—rare enough to be special but common enough to find parts and expertise.
