The Porsche 911 992.2 was built from 2025 to 2026.

The Carrera S, the most traded version: The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera S represents the "992.2" generation update, and it's a meaningful step up from both the previous Carrera S and the base 2025 Carrera. The headline upgrade is under the hood: the twin-turbo 3.0-liter flat-six now makes 473 horsepower — a 30-horse jump — thanks to a larger intercooler and new turbochargers borrowed from the outgoing GTS. That power puts it essentially on par with the previous-generation GTS in performance terms. In testing, it hit 60 mph in just 2.7 seconds and ran the quarter-mile in 10.8 seconds at 128 mph. Beyond the engine, the S gets adaptive dampers shared with the new GTS, featuring updated hydraulic tuning and a wider range of capability. Brakes are also upgraded — larger units sourced from the outgoing GTS, with six-piston fronts and four-piston rears. Inside, a new 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster replaces the old analog tach layout, and the infotainment runs through an updated 10.9-inch touchscreen. The sport exhaust is now standard. The catch? No manual transmission is available — the eight-speed PDK is the only option. And the base price jumped over $20K to $153,695. Options add up fast from there.
