The Jensen Interceptor was built from 1966 to 1976.

The SP, the most traded version: The Interceptor SP represented Jensen's final flourish, packing Chrysler's massive 440 V8 into the elegant Touring-designed body. With 385 horsepower and 490 lb-ft of torque, the SP could reach 148 mph and hit 60 in just six seconds—supercar performance wrapped in GT sophistication. The 7.2-liter engine's effortless power delivery made it ideal for high-speed touring, while the distinctive SP badges and subtle styling cues marked it as the ultimate Interceptor. Only 232 were built before Jensen's 1976 bankruptcy, making it among the rarest production Interceptors. The SP's combination of massive power, elegant styling, and extreme rarity creates a compelling collector proposition. Values have risen significantly as enthusiasts recognize the SP as the pinnacle of Jensen's achievement—the last hurrah of the Anglo-American GT era before emissions regulations and fuel crises changed everything.
