Ferrari introduced the 812 Superfast in 2017. It built on the F12berlinetta and F12tdf. Ferrari raised the V12's displacement from 6.2 to 6.5 liters. Output reached 800 cv at 8,500 rpm, 60 more than the F12berlinetta. Maximum torque is 718 Nm at 7,000 rpm. Ferrari lists a top speed of 340 km/h. The 812 Superfast was also the first Ferrari with electric power steering.
The 812 GTS arrived in 2019 with a retractable hard top. The last front-engined V12 Ferrari spider before it was the 1969 365 GTS4. The GTS kept the Superfast's 800 cv engine.
The 812 Competizione was a limited edition. Its 65-degree V12 makes 830 cv. It revs to 9,500 rpm, which Ferrari says is the highest of any Ferrari engine. Its rear screen is completely closed, a first on a production car. The 812 Competizione A followed as a limited series with a carbon-fiber targa top.
evo lists the 812 Superfast as a 2017 to 2024 model. It names the Ferrari 12Cilindri as the 812's successor.
