The 328, the most traded version: The 328 represents Ferrari's final evolution of the mid-engine V8 formula that began with the Dino 308. Launched in 1985, it addressed the 308's power deficit with a larger 3.2-liter V8 producing 270 horsepower—a substantial jump that transformed the driving experience. Pininfarina's subtle styling updates gave the 328 a more muscular presence while maintaining the classic wedge profile that defined 1980s supercars. The improved ABS braking system and refined suspension made it more usable than its predecessors. With just 7,412 GTB coupes and 6,068 GTS targas produced through 1989, the 328 strikes an ideal balance for collectors: more reliable than early 308s, less complex than the later 348, and genuinely thrilling to drive. Clean examples have appreciated significantly, with the GTS commanding premiums for its removable roof panels and iconic '80s appeal.
