The Chevrolet Camaro 1982-1992 was built from 1982 to 1992.

The Camaro, the most traded version: The third-generation Camaro marked Chevrolet's bold reinvention of the pony car for the 1980s. Built on GM's F-body platform, these Camaros featured dramatically improved aerodynamics with a 0.32 drag coefficient—revolutionary for American muscle. The base models came with everything from the fuel-efficient 2.5L Iron Duke four-cylinder to the potent 5.7L TPI V8 producing 225 horsepower by 1987. What makes these particularly collectible today is their role as the last of the carbureted V8s and the introduction of tuned port injection. The IROC-Z variants became icons of '80s performance culture. Production peaked at over 273,000 units in 1984, but clean, original examples are increasingly rare. Third-gen Camaros represent exceptional value in today's collector market, especially low-mileage TPI cars and final-year 1992 models, which marked the end of an era before the fourth generation's complete redesign.
