The Bentley Mulsanne was built from 1980 to 2020.
The 2010-2020 Saloon, the most traded version: The Mulsanne marked Bentley's triumphant return to building their own flagship after decades of sharing platforms with Rolls-Royce. Named after the famous straight at Le Mans, this hand-built saloon showcased Crewe's renewed independence under Volkswagen ownership. At its heart sits Bentley's legendary 6.75-liter twin-turbo V8 — the same basic architecture that powered Bentleys since 1959, but thoroughly modernized with 505 horsepower and 752 lb-ft of torque. Each Mulsanne required 400 hours to complete, with interiors featuring 14 hand-selected leather hides and real wood veneers. The Speed variant pushed output to 530 hp, while the Extended Wheelbase added five inches for rear passengers. With just over 7,000 examples built across its decade-long run, the Mulsanne represents the last of the truly bespoke luxury saloons — a fitting swan song before Bentley's electric future.
