The F-Pace was the first Jaguar SUV. Jaguar formally announced it at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Its design was based on the C-X17 concept, unveiled on September 9, 2013, at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Sales began in 2016 after an unveiling at the 2015 International Motor Show Germany in Frankfurt. Customer deliveries started in April 2016 in Europe and in May 2016 in the United States. Jaguar Land Rover built it at Solihull alongside the Range Rover Velar.
The F-Pace was recognized as the 2017 World Car of the Year and World Car Design of the Year. The F-Pace SVR made its global auto show debut in New York on March 28, 2018. Jaguar's Special Vehicle Operations engineered its supercharged 5.0-liter V8, which produced 550hp. Jaguar called it the fastest and most powerful F-Pace yet.
The facelifted 2021 F-Pace added a plug-in hybrid called the P400e PHEV. It combined a 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine with a 105kW electric motor for a system total of 404hp. New 3.0-liter six-cylinder Ingenium gasoline and diesel engines also joined the range.
On December 19, 2025, the final F-Pace rolled off the line at Solihull. It was a black F-Pace SVR. The end of the F-Pace also closed the internal combustion era at Jaguar. Over ten years, the F-Pace became the best-selling Jaguar in history. The last car entered the national collection at Gaydon.
