The Audi RS 6 C5 was built from 2002 to 2004.

The RS 6: The original RS 6 remains Audi's most audacious wagon experiment—a twin-turbo V8 monster disguised as a family hauler. Quattro GmbH's 4.2-liter biturbo produced 450 horsepower, launching this sleeper from 0-60 in just 4.6 seconds while maintaining genuine five-seat practicality. The hand-built engine featured individual throttle bodies and Audi's first production twin-turbo setup, paired exclusively with a five-speed Tiptronic. Visual cues were subtle: flared fenders, massive brakes visible through 18-inch wheels, and quad exhausts hinting at the fury within. Only produced for three years, the C5-generation RS 6 established the template for all super-wagons that followed. Clean examples have become increasingly sought-after as collectors recognize this as the genesis of the modern RS lineage. With just over 10,000 built globally, it represents peak early-2000s Audi ambition—when the brand dared to make the ultimate Q-car.
