The AC Ace was built from 1953 to 1963.

The Bristol, the most traded version: The Bristol-powered Ace elevated AC's roadster from pleasant to potent. Bristol's sophisticated 2.0-liter inline-six, derived from BMW's pre-war 328 design, delivered 125 horsepower and transformed the Ace's character entirely. The Bristol engine's advanced hemispherical combustion chambers and cross-flow head design provided genuine 117-mph performance, making this the fastest production Ace variant before Carroll Shelby's V8 transformation. Only 463 Bristol Aces were built between 1956-1963, representing the sweet spot between the underpowered Standard and the brutal Cobra. Racing success at Le Mans and Sebring cemented its reputation. Today, Bristol Aces command premium prices, offering collectors the perfect balance of refinement, rarity, and genuine sports car performance in AC's most sophisticated pre-Cobra package.
