About the 2020 MINI Cooper JCW GP3

The GP3 represents MINI's final farewell to the current generation Cooper, and they went out swinging. Limited to just 3,000 units worldwide, this track-focused hatchback strips away the rear seats and adds aggressive aero, including that massive rear wing that screams its intentions. The 2.0-liter turbo four pumps out 302 horsepower, the most powerful production MINI ever, channeled through front wheels via an 8-speed automatic. Weight reduction was obsessive: carbon fiber hood, deleted rear seats, and lightweight wheels help offset the power gains. The GP3's party trick is its Nürburgring-tuned suspension and limited-slip differential, making it genuinely capable on track. With Oxford production ending in 2021, these represent the swan song of an era. Early examples are already appreciating beyond their $44,900 MSRP, especially pristine low-mileage cars with the full aero package intact.
